As part of the transition to the new recycling program, residents now have the option to exchange their current 95-gallon recycling cart for a smaller 65-gallon cart.
How to Request the Smaller Cart
Starting Wednesday, November 26, you can submit your request through one of the following methods:
- Online Portal (Preferred): https://www.
circularmaterials.ca/ n6stouffville/ - GFL Customer Service: 1-833-779-4351
Please note: Beginning January 1, recycling collection will move to a bi-weekly schedule under the Province’s Producer Responsibility program.
Cart Exchange Process
Once your request is submitted, Circular Materials and GFL will provide detailed instructions on how and when to place your 95-gallon cart out for exchange. Exchanges are expected to begin in late December or early January.
If you wish to keep your current 95-gallon cart, no action is required.
Existing Blue Bins
- If you plan to repurpose your existing blue bins, you may keep them.
- If not, staff will be working to set up a designated drop-off location within the Town. Full details will be shared before January 1.
Additional Options Available January 1
- Second Cart: Residents who require an additional recycling cart may request one at no cost.
- Special Accommodations: Seniors or residents with mobility challenges can request assistance directly from GFL.
For inquiries or assistance, please contact GFL at 1-833-779-4351 or N6Recycli
Important Reminder:
Recycling is now fully managed under the Provincial Producer Responsibility program. As of January 1, the Town does not control cart sizes, collection schedules, or program decisions. All operations are managed by Circular Materials and GFL.
Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to this new system.
